Heavy Weight Champion Boxer Mohammed Ali Passes Away
Famous boxer and world champion Muhammad Ali has died at a hospital in Phoenix. He was 74. He was suffering from respiratory problems a few days before his death. The news was confirmed by his family spokesman to NBC. Mohammed has won the world heavyweight champion title for three times.
Muhammad Ali suffered for more than three decades with Parkinson’s disease a neurological disorder which had left him confined to his house. His funeral is planned in his hometown Louisville, Kentucky. Muhammad Ali daughter Rasheda referred his father as a legend, a best friend, a hero, a greatest man that ever lived.

He was born on Jan 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky to middle-class parents. He started to practice boxing when he was only 12 years old. He has won the prestigious Golden Gloves Title. He also won the light heavyweight boxing during the 1960 Olympics in Rome. He became a Muslim in the year 1963 and kept his new faith as the secret.
Ali, worked against American racism as he was refused services at a soda fountain counter. Later he renounced his original name, and he was known as Muhammad Ali bestowed by the Islam founder Elijah Mohammad.
Ali did not lose his confidence though he suffered from Parkinson’s disorder. To an interview to New York Times, Ali said that if I was in perfect health people will think me as a superhero. If I have won the lost two championships, they would have felt afraid of me. Now people think me as a human who has problems. He also involved himself in several humanitarian activities.
